Ericson Public Library sponsors seminars for home buyers, sellers

Are you discouraged by watching the house hunting shows on television? Do you think that without granite countertops your house won’t sell? Do you think you have to spend $400,000 to find a nice three bedroom house?

The Ericson Public Library will be sponsoring seminars to provide help and information for area residents who intend to purchase or sell a home in the Boone area. Each seminar will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the library’s meeting room, and will be presented twice.

The seminar for sellers will be presented Thursday, Feb. 21 and Thursday, March 13. Topics will include how to stage and price a home for quick sale. The buyers seminars will be on Tuesday, March 25, and Tuesday, April 22.

Topics will include renting versus buying and how to obtain financing.

The instructor for all seminars will be Lora Shreve, a local real estate agent.

These seminars are free to the public, but registration is required. Call the library at 432-3727.
