Landlord and Property Manager Workshop
Sioux City, IA – April 18, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — The Sioux City Human Rights Commission will host a Landlord and Property Manager Workshop on Thursday, May 5, 2011 in the third floor conference room at the Long Lines Family recreation Center, 401 Gordon Drive. The workshop will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end by 5:00 p.m.
Topics covered during the workshop will include the rights and responsibilities of both tenants and landlords, the Fair Housing Act, Fair Housing testing, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City’s Section 8 program, lead based paint, record keeping, the Sioux City Housing Maintenance Code, and maintaining tenant relations.
The pre-registration fee for the workshop is $50.00. Individuals registering at the door will be charged a $60.00 fee. Pre-registration is encouraged and group discounts are available.
