“Our veterans have put their lives on the line for the safety and security of our loved ones. The freedoms that we enjoy are a reflection of their sacrifice and it is our duty to support the men and women of the military long after they’ve left the battlefield,” said Harkin. “As a veteran myself, I congratulate the State Veterans Home on this award and I look forward to the improvements it will bring.”
