FEMA Below 300 Households In Iowa

DES MOINES, IA - June 12, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — The number of Iowa households staying in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) temporary housing units has dropped below 300 according to FEMA officials. That's down from 564 in October 2008 when housing need was at a peak after tornadoes and flood waters devastated much of the state.

$93,517 to Iowa for Housing

WASHINGTON - March 05, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — Senator Chuck Grassley announced today that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded grants totaling $93,517 to the Des Moines Municipal Housing Agency and the Eastern Iowa Regional Housing Authority through the Family Self Sufficiency Program.
